Hello!
Isabella Avedikian is a mixed media artist working on her BFA in Drawing and Painting with a Teaching Artist’s Minor. Her current practice centers around subjects in the natural world, creating large-scale paintings in a variety of painting mediums. Childhood nostalgia is a recurring theme in her work which also includes artwork inspired by her family and their hobby farm in SW MN. Other experience includes illustration, fiber arts such as embroidery, sewing, weaving, and a bit of screenprinting. As well as creating artwork she has gained much experience in working with kids and teaching youths in the art field. Isabella is passionate about teaching and working with kids at the elementary and middle school level. She has traveled to Florence Italy, where she took a ceramics class at the Academia Di Belle Arte and practiced her painting. As well as visiting many museums such as the Uffizi and learning more about Flortiene culture in the Renaissance and old Italian printmaking methods. Isabella is excited to expand her horizons and skills even more after graduating.
